I’ve always been passionate about real estate. I can remember the odd looks agents would give me when as a child I’d pop in to open houses on a fairly regular basis. I bought my first home as soon as I had saved enough money from my first full-time job when I was just 18 years old. I’ve bought and sold many times since then.
My real estate career started out shortly after in 1996 when I worked on the front desk at RE/MAX Hallmark. After almost 2 years of working very closely with so many agents, it was clear to me what made those who were Top Producers so successful ... it was their ability to form deep client relationships. Knowing perfectly well that this was something my friendly and nurturing nature would gravitate to naturally, I decided to join their ranks myself in 1998, and I haven't looked back.
Since my start as an agent in 1998, I’ve consistently been a top producer, earning several awards such as the RE/MAX Hall of Fame, RE/MAX Platinum Club Award, and RE/MAX 100% Club Award to name a few. I’ve also consistently ranked within the top 5% of Realtors across the country since 2007. But in my opinion, my real success is highlighted by the fact that no less than 95% of my business has consistently come from repeat clients and their referrals. This high level of repeat and referral business is based on a level of care that most people would reserve for family. It’s also based on a formidable work ethic that was proudly passed on from my parents.
I want to make a difference in the lives of the people who let me in. I'll never treat your home like it's just another house made of brick and mortar, and I'll never treat you like you're just a number. You'll be treated like you're part of my family ... a strong, caring, united, and, dare I say, terribly witty family.
My mission is more of an obsession, and that is to consistently exceed my clients' every expectation by overseeing all of their complicated real estate needs in an atmosphere of co-operation, collaboration, respect, and trust. My goal is to turn every one of my clients into "raving fans" by delivering an incomparable level of service with efficiency, ease, and grace; by giving each and every client the time and attention that they deserve; by assisting, encouraging, and inspiring them throughout the selling and buying process. My only measure of success is my clients' complete satisfaction.
What I don’t spend on real estate, I spend on travel, animals, and good food. Like real estate, these other 3 passions came to me quite young.
I’ve been gallivanting all over the world since I was just 19 years old. My favourite way to travel when it’s possible is to book a flight and a car, and leave the rest of the plans to the whimsy of my fancy, unfolding organically just a few days at a time. I’ve discovered incredible old towns I’d never heard of, and have met some fascinating people. Some of my favourite travels have been in Indonesia, Cambodia, Thailand, South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Turkey, Spain, France, Switzerland, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Mexico, and all across the United States & Canada. My travel plans for 2019 include Colombia and Nicaragua.
I have a gargantuan sized soft spot for all animals, and it seems to be reciprocated. I tend to find myself rescuing injured and/or stray animals on a fairly regular basis … they just seem to find me somehow. I don’t think I could leave anything to suffer or have an unnecessarily difficult life once I’ve looked it in the eyes. This gives me so much fulfillment, and it’s something I’d like to pursue more formally in the near future.
I don’t get people who don’t get excited over good food. We all need food to survive, but when someone has mastered the art of food, well that’s to be celebrated! I can find pleasure in simple dishes put together just so or more complicated fusion dishes. My favourite foodie experience is when I discover an amazing little restaurant before anyone else in my foodie circle … I think we’re all a bit competitive with this.
